    Hi,
I am on Q10/BB10.2 and desperately looking to access google talk/hangouts.

Google Talk: installed the app from BlackBerry world, but not able to sign in. I am using the correct username and password for sure, but still getting invalid username or password error.

Hangouts: got the apk from Snap but getting google services errors.

Can someone please help in getting either of these corrected?

    Cheers!!!

I tried re installing twice but no luck... the moment I enter the the username there appears a cross at the right corner of field.

Tried username with ans without gmail<dot>com but both time I end up in same error of invalid username /password

Did you set up your google account to have a separate password for different devices?

I reinstalled Gtalk and completely forgot that I set up that extra secure second password feature (I forget what google calls it, but I can't access google now). I kept putting in my password, but it never worked until I remembered and reissued a password.

You need to go into your google account security settings and reissue a new password to log into your blackberry Gtalk account.

    This may be your problem.

    Another issue may be this:

    +1
I hadn't heard of this app. Just checked it out, it's definitely the best solution out there.
Make sure you leave a positive review in BlackBerry World for the dev, from the looks of his thread, he's been working hard on the app.

just figured out how to fix this myself. Go into your Google Account settings via a webbrowser. Go to the Sign-In and Security settings, scroll down to the bottom, and enable "Allow less secure apps". Go sign into Google Talk on your BB again, and should work like a charm.
