Have you checked for updates on both devices.

Both software on phone and pad have the latest updates. Keep getting Disconnected message.

Just had the same problem as you - all of a sudden, I couldn't connect using the iPad. When I tried with the PC, it came up with the message, "you must turn on Blackberry Blend from the Quick Settings menu on your device". I did that and now it's back to normal. I must have inadvertently toggled it to off, so check if you did the same.
