    Hi everyone,

I have this is issue with my BBF100-1 that it does work and recognizes my sim and asks for the pin but does not connect to a network.

Someone spilled milk over it last week and I had it chemically cleaned.

Picked it up this morning and they said everything is working as it should and it does!

However no network? Might it be something in the settings that I can try?

I use my phone in the Netherlands not sure if that is relevant.

    Many thanks in advance!

Had it chemically cleaned... someone offers a professional service for this? They offer any guarantee?

Go into settings and Network... check to see if the SIM is recognized or not. If you have another SIM try it - maybe it was damaged. If SIM is recognized is the network on?

Factory Reset and a new SIM would tell you if it's the phone....

Yeah, I was surprised too! Thought I could give it a go, guarantee only applies on parts if replaced but wasn't necessary.

If I put my sim in my old samsung it works.

For my BB it says no sim detected when it is not inserted but when I do it says sim recognition and ask for pin.

I do feel it sees the card, I do not understand how I can see if it recognize the card?

I placed the sim and am in network and internet but have no clue what to do now?

Update, have done factory reset and again it does recognize the sim and ask for pin but no network.

Network is on and the APN is set right.

If I put the sim in my other phone it works so I do not think it is the card?

I do not see any other settings I can try, or are there?

    It’s the flux capacitor.

That is a part in the phone?

According to google that is a core component of a time machine.

Either way, must take it to repair than.

Thank you for your help, at least I can stop looking at the settings than.

Maybe it's a fault with the sim card tray or the actual part of the board that reads the card, as the card did work in another device.

Yeah that would be the only other user option I can think of, might try cleaning those contacts.....

Bottom line a liquid can short things out... that cleaning can't fix.

Andy office one going to network selections and check to see whether you've got to be enabled or 4G enabled if only 2GB will not connect 2 mobile broadband.
Assuming it is on 2G switch to 3G or 4G according to your area

Since you’ve been around here awhile, I assumed you’d see the humor...

Seriously, I’m with Dunt that something is shorted out.
