[CrackBerry Question]

I purchased these NFC tags online. From what I'd read, they supported Blackberry. I tried to write to them today, and when I hold my Q10 on them they don't get recognised. The Smart Tags app doesn't notices them at all. Any ideas?

The actual tags can be found on Amazon, I can't post a direct link as it gets marked as spam but the name is "10 Circus 25mm Round NFC Tag/Sticker (white backing) - Quality SMARTRAC NXP NTAG203".

1) Make sure NFC is on (it's not always on) (Settings -> Setworks and connections -> NFC go in and make sure to turn on what ever you'd like)

2) Not all NFC tags are compatible. They might say "blackberry compatible" but look also for "nexus compatible". Those seem to go hand in hand.

3) Can you scan ANY OTHER NFC tag. Some subway or train tickets are NFC. and some rewards cards (like the "FIVESTARS" one here in Cali) are NFC tags.

4) Lastly, remember the reader is in the MIDDLE of the BACK of the device. Just tried it with my FIVESTARS card and in the MIDDLE of the back of the device, the SMARTTAG app read it just fine (Best NFC app ever!)

I am having the exact same problem with my Z10 (10.2.1.2977)

I have NTAG203 tags purchased from OverAir Proximity technologies. The native NFC app will not recognize the tag when trying to encode it.

Not quite sure where to go from here.
