    I had a BlackBerry Z10 and the BlackBerry symbol was always there... on WiFi and on mobile data. Now I have a Passport and a new sim card, because it needs a nano sized card. The carrier is still t-mobile Austria but the BlackBerry symbol isn't there on mobile data. On WiFi and even when I use a VPN connection it's there. What's gooing on here?

    have you discussed this with your carrier? Have you got mobile data plan?

    Yes and yes. Nothing changed by getting a new sim card. I still have the same 6 GB data plan. The Hotline is clueless ;-(

    One thing in addition... it's not a problem of the passport. With other carriers it's possible and even with mobile data from t-mobile I can geht the symbol when I connect to a VPN!

    Sometimes need few times of reboot. Try first.
    Happens to me, and reboot resolved this problem.

    Thanks... but no! During the last five days I rebooted the device many times... no effect. And with a complete new prepaid card it works.

    Try changing the APN settings to blackberry.net. It should work then

    APN settings was the right hint. Thank you very much. T-mobile had set it to gprsinternet and so on. I now use BB 10 (default setting) and the BlackBerry symbol is back :-)
