My one-year old Classic suddenly stopped working with a code dsiplayed that the battery has failed. My network Vodafone sent it for repair but decided to instead supply a new hadnset.
The new phone when used with Blackberry Link will restore media files but not contacts and calendars that I had last backed up a month earlier.
I've tried Blackberry support but both the auto phone line and web page don't recognise the IMEI number. Another naff phone or am I missing something?

Being that LINK is so buggy and not supported on newer windows... not sure you can blame the phone. Going forward, don't trust it, use additional backup methods like Ultimate Backup.

Did the new phone come with the same version of BB10 you had? If not and there is an update, update you phone and try again.

Otherwise I'd keep trying to contact support.
