Every time I try to install a apk file from a pc the "failure 500 'package-Id' comes up not letting it install. Sorry if this is old news I just learnin'.

You don't sideload apk files. They install directly on the device whenever you tap on an apk file.

I have tried to do it directly, they don't seem to load, there a setting I got wrong, ..do the file I want to replace/update need deleted first?

What error message do you get? What OS are you on? What files are you trying to install?

I'm on 10.3,passport. The error msg was when side loading "failure 500 package-id". Trying to load Cobalt's latest google play services/settings... do I need to update these?

You don't sideload Android apps. They are installed directly on the device by tapping on the apk file itself.

I'm asking what error you get when you try it this way.

The file shows in the menu bar thing, I pick where I want it to go (download file),click save, then the screen just sits in white out.

My passport (10.3.2.2878) was not cooperative so I downloaded Cobalts files on My PC, ziped them (winzip) and when ziped, copied them to my passport via BlackBerry Link. I did The same thing when downloading the 2 files to be able to uninstall apps in the OS. Now My Phone is compleate and I really loe My passport!
