reload the OS using Link after going a backup. Then restore. But only restore after you confirm the phone doesn't turn off around the 50% mark like it is doing now. If after a restore it starts turning off again...it is something with the system settings or apps that you restored.

Was it while in a holster/case? Mine was doing that and I THINK it was because I was pressing the top power button when placing the phone away. I'm not sure but I have been more conscious of how I do it and the Z30 hasn't shut itself off for a couple weeks.

A friend had this issues and it was the power button. Apparently, he noticed something was off and filed something down to fix it.
