Was it working before and then started showing as above?
Or did you just get the Z30 and it's showing as above when first powered it one?

    Yes, I understand that.

My question is had it been working OK, but just started showing the bad screen, or did you just get the Z30 and out of the box it was bad?

    OK, first try this:
    Perform a Soft Reset*
Press and Hold the Volume UP and Down buttons at the same time, hold them for more than 10 seconds, then release them.
The device will power off and then restart on it's own.
Once it has begun to restart, see if the screen looks normal.

If it doesn't fix the issue, obtain an HDMI cable and plug the Z30 into a HDMI display or TV.
From that display/TV, see if the Z30's home and app screens are OK.

    Let me know the results.

    * = A Soft Reset is the same as a Hard Reset aka Battery Pull for a BlackBerry device. It clears all caches, shuts down background apps and services, clears running memory, and power cycles the device.
It does not delete any files, contacts, apps, or settings and generally fixes any bugged system functions, glitched apps, and corrupted caches.
NOTE: It is normal for the device to be sluggish and glitchy for up to five minutes after a Hard/Soft Reset, so it is best to just let the BlackBerry sit for five minutes before continuing to trouble shoot.
