[CrackBerry Question]

Hi
Im new to BB
I recently installed some app ( all from BBW)
But not sure all were built fot BB
Since that my battery keeps draining even when im not using it (low brighness,airplane mode, hardly used) and 70% gone in less that a half day ... This is not usuall and really bad
What shoud i do? I dont want to reset factory my internet is weak so i can hardly download Apps again

Take a screen shot of your Device monitor, battery and post it in the thread. There's where you may know your answer which app is running and draining your battery.

I think its because of this app I installed and now I restricted its access to run in background

Just one more thing... in my usage
( text a lot - no browsing - no music - on2G network roaming - no calls - few hours socials on wifi) how many hours this phone can stay on?

Hi Pesamix.
With the usage you describe, unless your Z30 does a lot of scan for antenna (seems you are in a bad coverage area) anything under 12 hrs would sound abnormal to me.
FWIW since it really depends on networks stability...

Bad coverage area for 3g yes so I use roaming.. 2G is fine here.
My phone stands on for all day and in device manitor section says it can be up to 3 days on!
Is that ok?

Hi Superfly,
I have the same issue, a month ago it started draining,80% is 7 hrs standby, im in Dubai so network is fine, i use only 3g.
Took it to BB workshop they wiped the phone, installed new software and said all is fine,its not lasting 5 hours of usage,please advise

My phone is doing great now..
I found out the problem
Some of my newly installed app were using lots of features like "run in background ". I disabled them all and my phone's battery is an Undying once again

Check for if there's an app running even when you're not using it. Widgets also consumes battery life. And oh just some fyi, battery life will drain really really fast if you place your phone in a very hot places...based on my personal experience.
