Everything is off, all permissions to run are denied, OS is up to date. I've removed the battery, waited, and reinstalled, no change. Usage is: System-70%, Android Player-24%, PIM services-22%, Display-20%. Phone is 1 year old, time for a new battery?

The battery really shouldn't have deteriorated that much in one year.
Replacements are pretty cheap though (about $10), so you might as well give that a try.

That's difficult to say, I am still using the original battery (with no issues what-so-ever) that my Q10 came with and it is well over three years old.

Delete all your android apps if you cannot figure out which one is causing your problem.

Because one of them definitely is.

Battery being one yr old has nothing to do with your problem.
