    I have tried turning the phone on and off. I have made sure the hotspot is off, and also switched the airplane mode on and off. I ran the blackberry virtual expert and it couldn't find any wifi on the phone to test. Out of ideas.

    You've probably tried this, but didn't mention it. Under settings, Wi-Fi, is it turn on? Also, just out of curiosity, in settings, "about phone", "status", does your DTEK list a Wi-Fi MAC address?
