You will need to find out what encoding (codex) was used to create the video file, then see if it matches the supported encoding formats on the Passport using the native player.
Currently:
For MP4 - Video: H.263, H.264, MPEG-4 - Audio: AAC, AMR
Supported audio and video file extensions, formats, and codecs - User Guide - BlackBerry Passport Smartphone - 10.3
I attached a pic does that tell you anything, I'm a bit green with this all so any help would be awesome

No, the only way to tell what a particular media file in encoded with what codec is by viewing the file properties within a player that can play the file and show those properties OR to use a dedicated file properties viewer on a PC.
Personally, I use the Combined Community Codec Pack, CCCP, from HERE to view media on a Windows PC. The player that is included can show in detail the codec(s) used on the file it is playing.
With that info, I can tell what may or may not play on the BlackBerry native player and decide if I want to bother with re-encoding the file with supported codecs.
A typical detail will look like this:
For this example, the file is Video H264 / Audio AAC.Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1280x720 29.97fps 2503kbps [V: h264 high L3.1, yuv420p, 1280x720, 2503 kb/s]
Audio: AAC 44100Hz stereo 192kbps [A: IsoMedia File Produced by Google, 5-11-2011 (aac, 44100 Hz, stereo, 192 kb/s)]
Both are supported as is the video resolution (1280x720), so it plays fine.
There are other player apps for the BlackBerry, and the Android sub system, that may be able to play the file in question.
One that is highly recommended on these forums is:
KalemSoft Media Player
