WOW,
I take my Q10 when I travel, Philippines, China, Vietnam, Dubai, and Australia. The BB maps work for those places. I am a bit stunned/surprised when I took my BB10 and just checked Jamaica, YEP, shows nothing but a white island.
Okay it is Google maps, it is working, but it seems like I can't get to log in is there a way for do that?

There is, but it's a more complicated process. You need to install Cobalt's solution which allows you to run a modified version of Google Play Services. Then you install a patched version of the app (gmaps) to work with it.
If you are up to the challenge, I can provide you with some links.
Yes please that would be wonderful.

By the way do I need a computer to do this? Because I don't currently have a working one..

You can set up Cobalt's solution directly on your phone, but need a PC to patch the apps you want to work with it. Although I can give you the patched version of GMaps.
Okay that would be appreciated

Try navfree, it's a native app and is on BlackBerry world, you just have to download maps and works offline. Good quality maps and probably doesn't track you like Google.

Go to the first post in this thread:
/blackberry-10-os-f269/cobalts-official-google-apps-landing-page-965257/
Download 5 files from Cobalt's landing page. You may have to add the apk extensions onto each file yourself.
Turn off wifi.
Install the file with 4.3.3 in the name and sign in to your existing Google account.
Install the file with 2.8 in the name. Register.
Turn wifi back on.
Install the file with vending in the name. You now have the Google Play Store.
Install the file with gms in the name. You now have Google Play Services.
Delete the version of GMaps you already installed (unpatched app).
Install the patched version:

You're aware that you can use the app without logging in, right?

Quick question what I had used the file with 4.4.4 in it's name?

4.3.3 is recommended but if what you have is working I would not mess with it.
I using 4.3.3, but now I think I want to do a factory reset because my phone is moving a little sluggish. But my next problem is I am not seeing the option to backup on my Mico SD card. Which was very handy on OS7..

I would recommend a program called Ultimate Backup from Blackberry world. You will be able to backup to the cloud or to your SD card.
I see that you have google maps working, that's good. Just so you know, there are other alternatives in BBW that work quite well. When I was in Bermuda in March I used Maps.ME . It worked great, especially the off-line capability. There is also a paid app in BBW ($1.99) called Map for HereMap that works very well. Both have Jamaica covered.
BeMaps Pro uses Google maps and is avail on BBW. Of course, it covers Jamaica.
