    Hello, CB.
I have decided to get a replacement for my PlayBook. It has served me well. However, its use has been limited to just laggy watching videos using the HDMI connection. It is time to get a new tablet. What tablets that are under $400 would you guys recommend?

I'd hate to say it, but an iPad is not a bad complement to a BlackBerry.

But an Android tablet would work great too. You could at least use it to port apps over that you bought from the Android app store.

I've read the Nexus 9 is a nice one.

I'm using my playbook as a media device watching my favorite shows on it. I still love the way it works. I even prefer it's multitasking over my Z30's

But I'm also contemplating switching to an ipad air. The Playbook is holding me back especially in the area of apps.

Too bad it didn't get BB10

If you're willing to wait the Nokia N1 looks really nice. IIRC it will be out early next year. Running Lollipop. Check it on YouTube. I'm seriously considering getting it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I decided to go for the iPad Air. I was considering nvidia shield and Samsung Galaxy tablets, but I decided against it due to the "all or nothing" permissions for android apps.

Ah I love my surface pro. So I'd probably recommend...

Dell Venue 8 Pro, little 8 inch running windows pro desktop (never again worry about compatibility) runs about 299. You can use bblink and blend to your phone

HP Stream 7, another 8 inch tablet running Windows desktop OS. This bad boy is 99 bucks.

Just watched a video on this. Good little tablet for the price point for a light user.

Would say the iPad as well. Depending on your phone your using why not get a z30 or a passport instead ?

I myself have galaxy tab and giving I just use it for games and light surfing it's not a huge thing because there's hardly any personal information on it. I use my phone and laptop for practically everything, I have a z30 and it seemed to make most obsolete I'm like hardly on my laptop since getting the z30
