Are these “special” pictures that you’re keeping from wife/gf type problem or national security type pictures?

Just tested on both Key1 (ABD796) and Key2 (ABE181). Both have this security flaw. The thumbnails dont show up until you first open private gallery in the locker after taking the photos.

Only then did the thumbnails appear in BB Files

Guess this is what happens when BB lets TCL port over their Alcatel apps. (my guess anyway)

Edit: @JohnAtBlackBerry any chance we can get this fixed in the next update?

I wouldn’t publicize your power for doing good. The dark side would expect you to send emails for BB10 and Passports........ ;-)

What's even more strange is it seems the thumbnail is only 'seen' as an image in the 'Files' app, which is by the same developer. I toggled to the same folder to view these thumbnail files using Solid Explorer, RAR, and via the Android system itself...and no thumbnail image was displayed. Even when I tried to open the file via SE image viewer it's didn't work (got a weird arrow pic)...it only opened as the original image using the Google Photos app.

    The file type is .0

But all you need to do is remame it to .jpg and you can open the image like normal using photos or gallery.

TCL should really release a whitepaper describing how their Locker App is supposed to function, and what security (if any) it actually provides. It should be in the same style as BB with their security whitepapers.

The problem is like for the other BB's apps, they are very very *SLOW* to fix broken things. 😢

to be safe, those thumbnails must be erased right after you enter locker/photos from filer/com.jrd..... cause they appear in that folder upon entering locker/photos....
they wont appear again unless you enter again locker/photos.....

not really. Many are done by TCL and used on their other devices

Hub suite and Keyboard are (at least partially) by BlackBerry, the rest, Locker included, is TCL.

Crazy, didn't know this. Solution to the issue is this: don't exit the Locker app with the square or circle. Rather, you should back out of the Locker app by pressing back until you're in te app pane or homescreen. This way, the Files app won't show the hidden files.

Just tried this on my Motion but I can still see everything if I go to device storage and look in files?
