Linksys WRT310N router won't recognize Samsung Tablet 4 8.0 for Wi-Fi

Have a Linksys WRT310N router, attempting to connect Samsung Tablet 4 8.0. Router working fine with other Samsung devices and computer. However, does not recognize password for wi-fi, tablet connects with neighbors open wi-fi and works fine with weak signal from across street. Does router need upgrade? Options to get connected on my router.
