6.0.0.756 (3170) was the latest I've seen.

Download, install, remove vendor.xml file(s), and load with Desktop Manager.
The link appears to be broken. Is this because I'm trying to download on my z30?

Well, it definitely won't work if you do that.
Out of curiosity, how were you planning to get the OS over to your 9780? Copy to your computer from the Z30?

Yes. But I am not sure if it will work or not. Do you know how should i do it? Should i download it to my computer and load it using desktop software or download it directly to my 9780?

You would need a Windows PC and BB Desktop Software to load it onto your phone, but the link is broken anyway.
