During a trip my boarding passes disappeared and now the Keyone is in the drawer. If Keyone could be redone with Linux, then It would come out of the drawer and be back in use. Currently I am back on BB9300!

isn't Android just a version of Linux.
The short answer is no.
If you want to try a Linux based OS you'd be better off buying a compatible device. Makeuseof.com recommended 3 Linux based OSs and listed the appropriate devices each would work on. I have a soft spot for Sailfish but apps are definitely an issue. Plasma looks interesting:

Last flight I took, I had the email confirmation, a image and the App... just in case on failed me. But then I had my wife who had printed it all out too....
