The question on everyone's mind is will we see a KEY3. That would all depend on the sales of the KEYtwo I'm guessing. Who has those numbers since BlackBerry no longer does the hardware side of things and does not have that info?

Outside of BlackBerry, TCL and suppliers... no one has them, that is willing to share them.

Will there be a KEY3... will just have to stay an unanswered question for a while longer.

It also depends on how the LE did, and I'm willing to bet that it did better than the 2.

I've seen some here say that, and the price would seem to be more attractive... and there are some that say it's a less buggy phone.

But in the end looking at the two forums... it's clear the KEY2 is the more popular here. And Amazon's reviews strongly support the KEY2 as the more popular - yes I know it got six months of sales over the LE, but even so it's not close.

Again... we really don't know, and may never know.

No official numbers and don't think there would ever be.
BlackBerry devices sales numbers were in free fall since 2013. Even TCL couldn't improve the situation with the Keyone.

Only speculations! And I think they sold around 400K units along the last year.

But Best Buy kept all colors of the LE but discontinued the KEY2 so...

Except that BlackBerry Mobile stated back in February that their year-over-year sales increased by 10% (during the same interview that said they planned to push out the next device until they could find a compelling feature for existing KEYᵒⁿᵉ and KEY² users to upgrade).

"If we're true to the brand and price segment we're in, we need to find the right driver for the next stage," Mahieu said. "What will make you upgrade?"

Mahieu wouldn't close the door on a new BlackBerry phone this year, so we could see one in the second half.

My own take is that there is still a significant number of BB10 users out there.

Perhaps we will see an upgraded LE just before BB10 finally gives up the ghost.

My impression regarding the last remnants of BB10 holdouts is that they aren't exactly Android fans.

I was thinking less about UX, and more about their notions regarding privacy (which can be mitigated, unbeknownst to most).

Meh, honestly I think if they want something that gets them as close as possible to the BB10/PKB experience they could just pick up a KEY and disable a bunch of Google stuff and download that Blokada app or something.
Slap on "Icon Pack 10" and a BB10 wallpaper and they'd feel right at home!

    ...sorta

At this point, owning a BB10 device is more like a hobby. Maybe they would like the contrarian vibe from using a feature phone or a Kaios device.

I am watching a TV drama No Offence made from 2015 and some police detectives are using Q10’s. Since Android can apparently run on 1:1 , that would be such an amazing little device. Looks great on TV.

I think by far most BB10 users are at least dual carrying at this point. Those that haven't, either think BlackBerry is going to change their mind or are hopng for Sailfish or LineageOS to be a real option... once they are forced to move on in five or six years.

Either that or they need the KEYone to drop below $100 before they consider it...

At this point BlackBerry and BBMo focus shouldn't be on what those customers "need" but on what the general smartphone market needs. Stable and functional device that can get the job done for 36 months....

That sounds like a Pixel 3a.

If BBmo could improve their quality to the point where a two year warranty with decent support was feasible then they might have something. Make one phone but make it well.

Another idea might be to offer a real Q10 , Passport or Priv with new internals running Android ( assuming 1:1 now allowed) .

True, better to target a nice chunk of dozens of millions of Android users rather than a few thousand BB10 holdouts, many of would probably jump to an iPhone due to their hate of anything Google.

    Yes, you are correct.

It’s just that the Q10 was so darn cute.
