I need to buy a key finder due to keys getting misplaced. Does crackberry have any recommendations?

attach keys to an old handset - put a PAYG sim in the handset

my PAYG sims don't need credit to be able to receive calls....

voila - a key finder that you can ring whenever you want to find your keys.....

.....now the difficult bit - which ringtone would be best for a key finder?

Take a look at this article: Never lose your keys (or phone) again with Chipolo | iMore

I was thinking of trying this one myself. It's listed as iOS, Android and WP compatible. So, the Android app may do the trick.

Actually, I found a few key finders.

I got the first one because it had the lowest cost in CAD, and it had good reviews. I am waiting for it to be delivered.

Can you use BB10 for them?

The first two options do not require a phone. The BlackBerry android runtime on BB10.2.1 is 4.3. So the Motorola app could possibly work (not guaranteed). The tile app sadly requires android 4.4, thus it will not work on BB10.2.1.

I was given an iTag and loaded iTracing via Snap and I got it to work on 10.3.2.x.

It was a bit flakey trying to make the connection, but with persistence I was able to make it work. I'm sure it would work a lot smoother with Android or iOS. I don't know if it had anything to do with it, but in my persistence, I also tried iTracing2 before reverting back to the recommened iTracing. Also Bluetooth wasn't able to connect directly on its own; I had to use the app.

Happy again because now I won't get nagged at for losing my keys. There's still my watch, my wallet... but my most common was my keys.
