Where would I find the setting to keep emails longer and maybe forever on my Z30?

Go into accounts an go into advanced and at the bottom there is a drop down menu for how long you want. if not delete acct and reset it up and change it then to the length you want.

From the home screen, swipe down from the top bezel and select Settings.
Select Accounts.
Select your email account.
Scroll down to Sync Timeframe and select Forever.
Click Save (top right of screen)

Hmmm. I must be missing something. There is no advanced and no time frame. I have 10.2.1.

Delete the acct and set up again, the option is there.

Thanks, I did that to a minor account and it did work. The only problem is it told me it would remove all my calendar, contacts and emails. That was no problem for the account I just did, but setting up my main account could be a pain.
I can do a backup on Link, but how do I restore only what I removed?

Well when you set it up the first time, do you remember if it gave you four options to sync, mail,contacts,calender,and another i can't remember, mine does, every time i put a leak on i have ot set up my three emails and they work properly.

I have set up a Q10, Z10 and Z30. I got my contacts from my Link Backup, & my calendar from Outlook.
I will have to wait till I have time to do a new back up.
I thank you for your help. At least I know it works.

Thanks again. I followed your instructions on my Z10, which is my backup phone. I fixed all my accounts to keep emails forever. Of course, now I have too many :-)
Once I saw that nothing got messed up on the Z10, I went ahead and did the Z30 and all is well.
