Yes, Cortana!! The virtual assistant for a windows phone!!! So, far it is working ok. It is the beta version intended for android. So, it has some rough edges to it but so far it has answered all the questions with a few glitches here and there. But it works!!!! I asked it to tell me a joke and it did!!! The main thing I could NOT get it to do was to open apps on my Passport. I decided to try it because the ONLY thing I miss about android is Google Now. I miss saying "Ok, Google" (without pushing a button) and it answers my question or does what I ask. You still have to touch the microphone on the screen to ask questions but again it works!!! So, will you guys try it out and let everyone know what your experiences are with using Cortana on BlackBerry 10? I found the link from a Pocketnow Youtube video about Cortana on android! Good Luck!!

I don't think it interfaces with any of the settings or services on the device though, like Assistant does or like Cortana does on a Windows phone.

It is working pretty ok on my Passport running 10.3.2.2226. It is answering every question I fire at it. Weather, joke, capitals and whatever. It's not outstanding but it demonstrates how powerful the Passport is! It's an awesome phone don't y'all agree!?!?

Maybe if you just want to yell nonsense at it all day. It doesn't integrate with BB10 at all so it's pretty much pointless lol. On BlackBerry 10 it's pretty much just a fancy search engine when it's supposed to be a fancy search engine and personal assistant.

While I would love to have "cortana" since she seems a lot better. I feel like I'm cheating on "BlackBerry Assistant" :P lol

    Gana keep my stock Assistant.

Can it actually DO anything for you on bb10?
    Messaging?
Email (personal and enterprise) , Facebook, Twitter,
    LinkedIn
    Appointments?
    Calendar searches?
    Email searches?
    Enterprise email search?
    Device search?
    Setting alarms?
    Creating reminders?
Playing your music by song and/or artist or album?
    Create reminders?

The BlackBerry assistant uses Wolfram alpha to answer questions (ie. It isn't BlackBerry) so Q&A will be as good as Wolfram alpha is.

Unless Cortana can leverage some local device functions/services it's less than the assistant you already have.

Except for jokes... assistant doesn't have much of a funny bone.

Of course I don't look to the assistant to entertain me. Does that make me weird? I think the opposite ;-)

Wasn't sure if there were little bits where it just works because the android runtime exposes some bb10 services as android services... in disguise.

Since Cortana works perfectly on BB10, I think BlackBerry should make a Windows 10 Phone. That will be the only thing which will save BB from their current mess.

It is exactly BB need to work on. Extend the BB services (link to hub, BB map, messaging etc) securely connecting to Android Apps, so to invoke BB services without hiccups. This is already done where in Google play after downloading an app, BB10 part comes in front to do installation and Android part takes over further. The card system, sharing framework which work effectively in native apps should work in Android portion also.
