I don't really know anything about Java, but does BlackBerry not run it? I keep getting the attached error when trying to load a site. Is there a work around this or is this just how it is?

What site is it? Seems to be using a really old version of Java if it can't detect it within the OS.

Post the link of bank, and give details of the device you are using (BB10 or BB7) etc.
May be other guys can try to access the link to help you out

I think the site is trying to access java runtime or its environment like java web start which is not available in BlackBerry. JRT is available in desktop not for mobile devices. Don't confuse java with javascript when both is totally different.

There is nothing you can do except using desktop. I never heard any java environment for mobile desktop

My bank also uses JRE, and its webpage loads without any issues.
I tried loading your banks webpage and it didn't.

I am not pretty sure on Java web start part....

JRT is to run java program while java web start is to be use by browser. I think the website site you access use javascript which is available in bb10
