Youtube stops playing in background. Earlier it was working fine.
It used to work if I minimise or open a new tab but not now. I deleted my browser cache and history but still same. Please help.

What device?
What browser are you using? (And as poster above asks, what phone?)
I've recently read in other threads that Firefox is apparently sorted now re playing youtube in background mode. Are you up to date with firefox?
I'm using BlackBerry Passport silver edition
And the same BlackBerry default browser.

My Passport won't boot-up. Do you know if there is any way to reset without losing files or data?
It says, " finalizing device setup " and does not continue to finish the boot-up, on the blackberry passport.
Try a 32 second re-set. So, hold the power button down for 32 seconds. Time it.
It's the equivalent of a battery pull.
I haven't used BB10 for a bit, but I heard YouTube started acting wonky. Try a different browser to see if you get different results
Ahh, I'm not sure I can help further, hopefully someone will pop in soonish ....
Heavens1, I have tried the 32 second hold but it still has the same results. It gets to the end of the reboot, and then freezes, and it says finalizing device setup. This Blackberry Passport won't boot-up anymore.
What about using an autoloader, but, it will wipe your device, and I know you stated you didn't want that.
bb10 autoloader

What's up fellow Crackheads lol, I have found a surefire fix that will work for everyone:
1. Go to youtube and select any video
2. Go to the end of the URL and simply type: &app=desktop, then press enter
3. Enjoy your BlackBerry as usual!
I have a Q10, 10.3.3.1463, and this youtube anomaly just happened to me last week.
Using this quick fix, we no longer have to go through the trouble of manually selecting desktop mode just to watch/listen to videos like we've been accustomed to before this nonsense happened.
P.S. While viewing videos in fullscreen, you might notice the controls (play/pause, fast forward/rewind, etc.) are not visible while watching. However, a cool little feature allows you to double-tap the video, where it will zoom in, and the controls will be visible again. When you are finished rewinding/fast forwarding, simply double-tap the video again to zoom it back to normal ratio again.
Long Live BB10! Jah Bless you all.
