    Hi folks

I've been syncing my iCloud calendar since years using "SmoothSync for Cloud" (obtained from Amazon Appstore) in combination with CalenGoo (obtained through BBWorld). It run smoothly, no issues at all and synced both ways.

I've did the update of my BB Passport to 10.3.3.2205 a few weeks ago and believe (not sure there!) that it still worked. However, I had to reset the device a few times and since then, I can't connect any longer.
I got a long error trail which is basically saying: I/O exception.
Same with "iSync Calendar Cloud", which I've tried as an alternative.

I've switched 2-factor-authentication on/off, tried it with a application specified password but nothing worked.

So, has anybody of you guys an idea what's maybe wrong?

So just in case, that it might help somebody, I've attached the full error trail from "SmoothSync for Cloud". I've sent this already to the developer, but didn't got a response yet.

    Thanks
    Ralf

please register for further assistance, have you contacted the app developer? Sounds like an app issue, for not supporting 10.3.3...

    Hi zocster,

for some reasons, I've been logged out so that my post has been submitted without being registered.

Regarding your comment: Yes, I have been in touch with the developer who is quite supportive.
He checked the issue and thinks, that it's not an app-related issue. Basically, my passport and the iCloud-CalDav interface aren't able to agree on a specific certificate. He thinks, that this happens for example when a server drops the support for specific devices / standards.

I've also tested similar apps to sync iCloud but none of them worked, all had somehow an error.

So I'm wondering, if it's a general issue with 10.3.3 or if it's maybe just the S/W version which I've obtained (haven't received the OTA update yet).

Hi, i have set up icloud calendar, contacts and email sync in the native Blackberry 10 OS settings. Did you try that also?

Hmm, not yet as I have no clue, how to do that. When I use the eMail Adresse of my Apple ID, I just get the related eMail account (which isn't apple). Do you have an iCloud email address?

Yes I Am using an @ICLoud email address. But it should work with others also.
See Blackberry Support. Try advanced settings CalDAV and CardDAV. If you have two factor authentication enabled I think you have to set one genuine password for each use case (email/calendar/contacts).
    BBCH and zocster like this.

Many thanks, indeed, it worked! So at least, I have access to my calendar again. So maybe I missed this feature when I started using the Passport in November 2014 on an older OS10 version.

However... I still have an issue. I still find it hard to work with the BB-built in calendar as I'm missing the a good monthly overview. I used CalenGoo for quite some time and were happy with it. However, it can not communicate with the BB-calendar.

3 ways to go for me:
    a) Finding something to 'tweak' to built-in calendar app.
    b) Finding an alternative (android) app, which can access the BB-calendar and which suits my needs.
    c) Get iCloud sync via 3rd party tools fixed.

Maybe somebody can provide me with advice.

Many thanks folks & have a great weekend
    Ralf
