    If you want to restore the device to the same state as brand new, then do a security wipe. This will lose all personal information on the device memory so be aware that there's no way back from that.

    If you just want to do a hard reset, just hold the up and down volume rockers for 20 seconds.

    To do a non-destructive, "hard" reset, hold both volume keys down until the phone restarts.
