I installed Snap, why can't I purchase apps from Google Play?

I installed Snap v. 2.0.0.2 and successfully downloaded two apps. But I cannot register or purchase either app. The error messages seem to indicate they cannot communicate with the Google Play registration server.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
