You take their iPhone and read thru them as a parent.

Somewhat similar situation with my son and his iPhone. I have the ability to do a spot check at a moments notice and I know the password at all times.

I do that pretty infrequently as you DO have to trust them. As for data, he's on a shared plan and I can check that anytime.

Good suggestion which only works if not deleted by youth.

    Better solution: Detailed Carrier Billing!

All sms to/from your phones are on the bill. Find out if your carrier supports this, I'm aware Rogers does.

Alternate. Set I cloud account to your email address. Once confirmed setup parental controls, so smtp cannot be changed. Now setup on of touch to connect to WiFi in your BB10. Done you'll see sms pretty much in real time. Even when the calls goto your kids phone.

Better still setup trust with your kid! Be a real parent your child should not feel reserved against yet let them be children. Bigger issues they'll tell you about if communication, trust, love, and good parenting with fun is there. Don't forget to spend time with them. Very important as working parents like us tend to forget all too often providing for them.

    Good luck.

I would think iPhone has parental controls? Set them up on it and then they can only text with people you allow.
