    -had entered slightly misspelled email at setup, so I created an email acct to confirm and recover password. I ended up deleting the ID through email. I'm stuck and can't do a wipe because I can't remember password.

    You didn't print it or write it down during the process? Just keep entering the password wrong and the phone will wipe itself.
