    The backup comes up grey on both devices with latest Link and BB10 updates. I see many discussing this. How can such a rock solid device be unable to backup?

    Becuase the software hasn't been updated in a very long time....

    It's strange some on a PC or a MAC still are able to get it to work.... while others find many of the options no longer are available. Sadly this seems more so for Mac users.

    Best bet is to uninstall everything, reboot your computer, then reinstall the latest version.... but no guarantees.
