Hey everyone, I am trying to remove the contacts and pictures from my Curve 8900 to switch over to my new smartphone. The port works for charging the battery but will not work to transfer the data. how can I fix this? I've tried 3 brand new usb cords on different devices. Any help is appreciated.

if the USB port is not working on your phone you can't get the contacts off unless you made a backup previously. You need to do a device switch to move them to another phone.
The pictures you can share in an email but that would be pretty tedious.

Take a look at the "Device Switch" app in BlackBerry World.
