    I'm looking to come back to BlackBerry because the Passport seems awesome. However, I am not interested in signing a data contract at all. I will be buying the Passport outright and using it on a talk and text plan. Without data will I be able to use all the features the Passport has to offer by using wi-fi?

    Yep. Just no SMS or phone calls. Everything else will work great.

    You would not have data, I think that would be a bad move! Unless you have access to wifi 24/7 then go for it but imagine using it for navigation purposes.

    If things are hard why not get pay per usage data just in case something happens and you may need it.
