    Desktop manager is not compatible with the Z10. I've tried Blackberry Link, but it only transferred the contacts from messages not the actual messages.

    Can try device switch from BlackBerry app world, but don't get your hopes to high. SMS is the first type of messages BlackBerry deletes when it determines it needs to get rid of crap for new messages. In other words, SMS is deemed the least important of message types.

    I recently did this.
    Backup the Bold using Desktop Manager
    Unplug Bold and close Desktop Manager
    Open BlackBerry Link
    Plug in Z10
    Restore and choose Selective
    Look for SMS/MMS/Text messages and restore those to your Z10
