I'm thinking of trading my galaxy s8 in for a keyone. As much I honestly hate android I'm missing the keyboard so much and as good a phone as the passport is the app gap is too much now, so how much is reasonable for the keyone and what production version should I avoid die to the screen dropout?
Thanks in advance for any help.

To avoid a unit that may have the screen lift issue, make sure the one you buy is built July 10th or later (early July may be fine also). The black and bronze versions are not affected by this issue.

To check the build date, it's either on the box label or,

You can find the assembly date for the unit in the MMI test / Traceability menu

    1. Dial *#2886#
    2. Press the MANU red button
    3. Touch the "Traceability" menu
    4. Hit PASS

You should get something like this, where the bottom line is a date of assembly:

    20170529
    YYYYMMDD

    5. Hit PASS again
    6. Scroll to the bottom and hit Exit
