I just got an estimate from a shop that said 175-200... that seems high? I really don"t want to spend over 100. Has anyone had one repaired for cheaper? Or done themselves at home? Any advice appreciated, thanks.

    Wow, seems kind of high.

At that price I'd try to find a replacement screen on eBay for much less than that and try to find a shop who will do the replacement using your own spare part (there probably won't be a guarantee)

Ebay has them for about $50 - $70....

A shop has to make a profit on the display and the labor.... you can shop around.

I know there are some video's online for the KEY2 display replacement... might check those out to see if this something you want to tackle.
