So I'm sure this has been explained in the past many times over but, I was not sure if anything has changed since the introduction of desktop manager.

I found my old Bold 9700 and wanted to move the sms's to my leap. Now I know I can do that very easily but I want to be able to keep the current SMS's from the same people on the leap.

Example: I found a contact named Amanda on my 9700 that dates from 2012 to 2013. I want to import those SMS's to her same account on the leap but not loose all the sms's on the leap. Aka, I just want to combine. Is that possible, yet?

The Bold is on 6.0.0.236
The Leap is on 10.3.2.440

Right when you got the Leap, you should have used BlackBerry Link and performed a device switch, it would have moved all that stuff to the Leap.

Now that you already have things in there, you'll need to find an app that can backup/restore such things and is available on both platforms.

You seem to be in luck though:

If this one doesn't do SMS, just look for an app that does.
