I pocket dial, text, and even email people with my passport! My old Bold could be locked by pressing on of the buttons on top. Can my passport be locked? It's driving me crazy.

I use this and I still pocket dial people.

Turning off 'swipe to wake' worked for me
all your numbers in one app... http://renumberapp.com
I'll try it.

None of these things worked for me. I wish that the operating system would allow perhaps a much greater amount of login attempts. I also have experienced this numerous times: pocket dialing/texting, programs opening, changes in configuration, etc... Worse yet, I had a password program open once (but not logged in) and that program erased everything completely on too many incorrect login attempts! I was backed up externally though. I do not run a lockscreen password or picture just because Blackberry 10 will do exactly the same thing and wipe your phone. I think I am resigned to the fact on getting a magnetic closure pouch or flip case to auto lock. Wondering if any first hand recommendations out there?

try holding down the K key before putting the phone in your pocket, it password locks the phone.
I just press the button on top of the passport before I holster it!

Get a case with a front flap. I have Stilgut & Noreve.

You will find that you still get occasional pocket dials even with swipe to wake turned off and screen locked. There is a new solution to the problem, an app called PocketSafe has just arrived in BlackBerry World. It not only prevents pocket dialing but also prevents accidental muting or face dialing while talking on the phone and pressing it against your face.

PocketSafe in BBW works great. It just got out of beta. I had the same issues but this app solves it. It uses the proximity sensor to trigger a block that prevents apps from opening and pocket dialing.

When using PocketSafe, to prevent getting the pop up every time your hand passes close to the sensor you can use battery saving mode. Swipe down from top of screen and you will see the Settings button. Turn on battery saving mode. With this option turned on the app will only function if it detects a close object within 10 seconds after the screen turns on. That will solve your problem. However, with battery saving on, your screen must be turned off before putting the phone in your pocket. Otherwise you will not be protected from pocket dialing until your screen turns off automatically, which may never happen if it begins pocket dialing right after it goes in your pocket.
