I have been told that newer privs are a lot better since they don't heat up or drain battery as much as the older models.
Could anyone provide a quick guide as to the available models, how to identify them and how much of a difference you would expect from each?

I don't see what the difference between early and later production units could possibly be given that they all have exactly the same processor and specifications.

Any improvement with later selling units would be due to updated software, not hardware.

By differences I don't mean anything drastic like improved specs. Most people said there was a slight improvement in areas like build quality in newer models; less creaks, clickier keyboards etc. Apparently, it was mostly the first few units sold by carriers that were faulty.
