I have a blackberry leap, and I'm unable to install whatsapp on the phone itself. I tried installing the google play store, settings and accounts; however, once whatsapp is downloaded, an error occurs after trying to register for whatsapp - where it states that whatsapp does not support this device.

Is there any workaround to use whatsapp on this phone?

    Hi,

I installed it just last week directly from the Whatsapp website : https://www.whatsapp.com/android/
Download the APK on your device. Open the app 'File Manager' and go to the folder where you downloaded the whatsapp. Open it and it will install. On BB 10.3 you can directly install APK's

No problems using it. Notifications, LED, videos etc works perfect. It is a bit slow but manageable.

The only bug is that when somebody calls you using Whatsapp itself, afterwards the app might crash when you open the 'conversation' with that person who called you. The solution is to clear all calls in the 'Calls' tab - just delete them.
