    I (a newbie) just want to be able to send a text message to someone's cell phone. The only set-up options I can see in the BB Hub are email and social media. I DON'T want my email (Gmail) coming to my phone (and I don't use the social media).

    There's no need to set anything up to use text messages. Just tap the text messages icon and you're off to the races. It takes you to the Hub, but you don't need to set anything else up.
