I have a KEYone now and used an iphone SE before that. On my SE I had downloaded Stop Ads and just downloading it automatically blocked all ads on Safari. I wanted to do something similar with Chrome on my KEYone and all I can find in the Google Play Store are adblocker browsers, which I don't care for as browsers. They work fine but what I want is to use Chrome and have all ads blocked automatically just like it works on Safari. And it does not seem to be possible.... I've looked around and found that Google was thinking about having a built-in ad blocker for Chrome (but that's a different story).

I don't think you can block ads with regular Chrome without editing the hosts file (i.e. root access). I use regular Chrome and a DNS ad blocker when I'm on WiFi, but that obviously doesn't work when I'm off my home network.

Install firefox and get an add-on (desktop add-ons mostly work with mobile Firefox) or get Opera and install chrome add-ons, the mobile Opera also works with chrome add-ons.

Honestly, chrome is a terrible mobile browser.

Chrome is awesome. It's fast, and customizable. I've moved the navigation bar to the bottom, and enabled reader mode.

OP, you could also use a VPN service like VPN Unlimited, which includes ad blocking.

There used to be some more generic adblockers in Google Play which were supposed to block ads (on WiFi) in many Apps, including Chrome.
Google kicked them all out of the store.

For a while you could download Adblock Plus for Android from their own website, but I can't even find that now. They really want you to download their own browser (which more or less seems to just be Firefox with Adblock Plus preinstalled, and the ability to install other addons disabled).

So, Firefox just launched their Firefox Focus browser.

And it is excellent. Give it a try.
