    If I receive someone's mobile phone number in a text, posibly having asked for another persons contact details, when I click on it the phone immediatley dials, without giving me the option to text nstead.

    How do I text directly without having to remember the number, rather than placing a call?

    Hold the number for 2 to 3 seconds, you will get pop up, things to do with that number
