    i Installed blend on vista and it did not open. An error that says " The procedure entry point SetCurrentProcessExplicitAppUserModelID could not be located in the dynamic link library SHELL32.dll. any fix known? thanks in advance.

    Hmm...

    Open an administrator command prompt and type (no quotes): "sfc /scannow"

    Then post the results.

    Edit: Although, the Blend system requirements say Windows 7+:

    Windows resource protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. details are included in the CBS.log windir\logs\CBS\CBS.log. problem persist

    Yeah...Blackberry Blend does NOT work on Vista 64 bit and probably will not work on Vista 32 bit either...

    No workaround. You need features that are only available in Windows 7 and higher versions for it to work. At this point an upgrade is your best bet as you only have about a year and a half left of support as Vista will be EOL in 2017.
