Navfree is a great app, but it needs some clear instructions because many functions are not obvious.

    Go to My Route>Clear Route

Go to Search menu and select your start point

Slide the bottom bar up and select 'Route from Here'

Go again to the Search bar or Search menu and select your destination.

When asked what start position to use for the calculation, tap 'Selected', not 'GPS'.

Tap the Driving icon (or Walking icon if that's selected) to navigate.

The route overview will be presented, and then Navfree will show the navigation screen. Move the map slightly with your finger and top view of the map will be presented. Tap the on-screen arrowhead and nav view will once again be presented. To see other views or listed directions, tap the 3-bar menu.

I might add that there are still some bugs in Navfree. So, for example, when I am in a Canadian location, but using the UK map for a point-point route, the start map presented may show my present location rather than the selected start point. However, the Route Overview, listed Directions, Demo Route, etc. are all correct. Also, the audio will sometimes stutter.

Overall, Navfree is amazing though. It connects easily over Bluetooth in the car so I can have music, phone calls, Navfree turn-by-turn, and BlackBerry voice control all working in harmony.

The developer is fairly responsive, and is working on bugs and improvements that I have suggested.
