Because the BlackBerry p9983 bootloader is locked we can't load another os to it hope it helps to explain
Because 7.1 came out years before the P9983, so the device is too new. Plus, as has been said, you can't load non-BB10 OSes onto BB10 devices, 7.1 included.
Let it go.
Please refer to the previous thread created to ask the same question. The P9983 is an OS 10 device, and uses the newer coding structure. You cannot load OS 7 on it.
