So I bought into the subscription for the custom PIN and now have 2 to use. For those who purchased a custom PIN how do I make my new one the default for my invites? It keeps sending out the one I had from before.

Easy. You can't.

You can only give out your custom pin as a way for people to add you, but when you send out an invite, your old pin will be the one that shows up.

So basically only your current contacts and the people who you give out the custom pin to will know about it.

I am stuck between foregoing the custom pin because of its uselessness and 'fear' of someone else taking the pin I want.

Because it's nice to just give out something customized rather than some long number/letter code. I like mine a lot but I wish I could use it as my default rather than that ugly code lol

There are tons of reasons why a custom PIN could be interesting. It's like custom car plates... you don't need it, but it's still "cool"

Do this.

Settings > Language and Input > Prediction and Correction > Word Substitution > + add shortcut at the bottom of the page.

Create a shortcut e.g. mypinv = BBPIN: ROCKY4

So, whenever you type mypin, it will show your current BB pin and when you type mypinv (for vanity, of course), it will show your vanity pin which is BBPIN: ROCKY4 (as example above).

At least a work around to get a shortcut for your vanity pin to share around.

That's a good workaround wish it was just easy enough for BB to let us choose which pin to use as a default
