I am trying to get my photos and data off of an old Blackberry, the 8330m model. I have a USB cable to connect it to a computer but my computer doesn't seem to be able to detect and explore the phone and its data/storage. Is there something I should do to get my computer to detect it or is there a workaround to get my information off of there?

Which Windows version is on the computer you have used to run the desktop software? You may need Win7 or earlier.
Other possibility is the mini USB is getting loose or the its contacts have worn off, so try another cable.

I actually do have access to a Win 7 PC. Do you know which Blackberry software/driver I should be downloading? Could you share the right link?

What ever the latest version of BlackBerry Manager there is on the BlackBerry support website.....

Might also want to disable any other apps you have running... like malware, firewalls.

Another trick is to get a micro SD card, 2Gb for the Curve I believe. Then you can copy pics and music files over to the SD card.
If File Manager is not showed in the App folder, try press Menu (BlackBerry button) and select Show All or Unhide. If is is not there, click on the Media icon to open it, then hit Menu to bring up the full menu, find Explore and lick open it to get to file manager. There you can copy folders from the phone memory to the SD card.
