    Hi there!
I have recently purchased a new handset and want to transfer my blackberry contacts onto it. I had my blackberry for over a year before it packed in, and in the last few months I have been using an old Samsung as a transition phone until I could get a new one for good.

I backed up my Blackberry on my Blackberry Desktop Manager before sending it off to be repaired. When it came back it was worse than before, and it now sits in the bottom of a cardbord box in my dad's garage - in short, I don't have access to the device anymore.

I would like to transfer the contact list backed up on the desktop manager into my windows/outlook account, since it would then sync easily with my new Windows Phone. I have looked in User/My Documents/Blackberry/Back up but it seems to be empty.

Unsure where to look and how to go about doing this.

    Thank you for your help!

The backup file from your BB is saved as a bbb file. Oh wait as an ipd file i think from Desktop Manager. You have a legacy BB? Unsure that any other device or software would read the contacts list.
