I need to backup my Priv to my Windows 10 PC to transfer a load of pictures. I tried to use Blackberry Link but it only works for my old Q10 (BB 10).

Just plug it in (make sure the USB drivers are installed: https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...1570F46266A608), and it'll show up in File Explorer as "BlackBerry STV100-#" I believe.

    Thanks; That worked.
But I had to dig down deep to find the folder.
Its in "Internal Storage - DCIM - .thumbnails"
Strangely, not in "camera" and can't find the videos I took, only the pix.
I just installed that file you referred to, but I need to reboot first and right now, I am not ready to.

    And now it's not.
I did a reboot, and the Priv (STV100-3) shows up in file explorer, but nothing there.
    Not even the sub folders.
Every thing is still on the phone, but I can't see it on the PC.
Gonna try to re-install the driver.

There should be a dropdown notification on your phone saying "Connected in charging mode" or something like that. Set it to MTP/file transfer mode.

    Still no joy.

Try rebooting the phone. I remember BlackBerry's MTP implementation seemed flakier than usual.

That got the pictures back on the PC. I had seen that previously and set it to MTP.
Strange the way it is organized.
When my SD card "camera" is selected it displays my SIM card photos, taken by my old Q10.
When my SD card "DCIM\Camera" is selected, my Priv photos and vids are displayed.
This is all non-intuitive and the setup could be a lot easier.

    Thanks again. Gotta run....

I'm guessing you didn't reformat your card when you moved it to your Priv. How BlackBerry 10 sets up folders is different than how Android does it, hence the difference.

Nope, no reformat as I needed that data stored on the SIM intact.
Right now I am trying to define the logic on the storage. Some dirs have all my old SIM photos only, others have only the Priv photos and 1 other Dir has a truncated mix.
Weird, but they are all there.

    Thanks again.
